100+ Places to Market Your Post-Apocalyptic/Dystopian Book

The post-apocalyptic and dystopian genres are interesting because they encompass a wide range of genres in fiction – from science fiction to fantasy – without losing sight of what makes the core of these genres: a world where governments have failed, where the world has ended, and people are picking up the pieces. In the typical post-apocalyptic world, buildings have fallen, the world is irradiated, the land is razed, and the humans who are left are trying to live their lives as normally as possible. In dystopia, there’s a government that has complete control over the people. These genres explore the what-ifs of a version of our world that has fallen into pieces, and even just for that, they happen to be very compelling.
